Pacesetters was a national NHS initiative to test out innovative and new ways of working that address Equality and Diversity issues via a Partnership Programme. This required strong engagement with local communities, patients, staff and service users to tackle discrimination and disadvantage.

 

NHS Bassetlaw was a wave 3 organisation in what was a 3 year programme.

The 2 specific Bassetlaw Projects were:-

 

  • Work based placements at Bassetlaw Community Health for people with a Learning Disability.

 

  • Engagement with the Traveller Community to improve uptake of immunisations and vaccinations by making the service more accessible and appropriate to the needs of those communities.

The Bassetlaw Workplace Health Awards Scheme

Being part of the Bassetlaw ’Wellbeing at Work’ Award Scheme will give your organisation a number of benefits which include:

         A Health Trainer assigned to your organisation that will support individuals to lead a healthier lifestyle.

         Training for your staff on becoming health champions (Training officially accredited by the RSPH to level 2)

         The ‘Wellbeing at Work’ team will deliver a mini health fair on site

         All staff have access to the corporate membership scheme at Worksop, Retford and Bircotes leisure centres

         Ongoing support from the ‘Wellbeing at Work’ team to achieve a healthy workplace status

         Access to up to date accurate health related information

         Recognition of your organisations commitment to the health of your employees this includes an awards ceremony, certificate, promotion of the organisation, use of the Healthy Workplaces logo and opportunities to share your good practice with other businesses.

 

There are three levels of Award; Bronze, Silver & Gold
